Parade of Lights
The Huron Chamber & Visitors Bureau celebrates the holiday season with a Parade of Lights, held annually on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The parade begins at 7 pm and runs through the heart of downtown Huron from Market Street to 21st Street on Dakota Avenue.
Each year a parade theme is suggested, such as “Christmas at the Beach” or “A Christmas Salute, Honoring our Troops,” to lend creative ideas to participants, however, participation in the theme is not required. Awards for Best Animation, Most Creative, Best Use of Theme, Best Portrayal of Business, Best Non-Profit Organization and Best Lighted are presented following the parade at the Huron Mall. A People's Choice award is also presented. Visit the Huron CVB Facebook page for People's Choice voting.
