Nordby Center for Recreation

The Nordby Center for Recreation offers quality social, cultural and recreational programs designed for people of all ages! It is a premier recreational facility open year-round, seven days a week. The facility includes a track, pool, weight room, tennis, basketball, pickle ball and volleyball and racquetball courts. The center is open to both members and non-members. It is located at 1200 Lincoln Ave.

Huron Arena

The Huron Arena is located in the heart of Huron, connected to the Huron Event Center & Crossroads Hotel. The arena hosts many events including concerts, trade shows, the shrine circus and athletic games. With 15,000 square feet, the arena can accommodate up to 7,000 people. Located at 150 5th Street SW. Heartland 4-H Rodeo Grounds and SD State Fairgrounds

The Heartland 4-H Rodeo Grounds and SD State Fairgrounds supply many areas for all your livestock and equestrian needs.

Community Activity Center / Bergman Arena

The Huron Community Activity Center is a great place to host church activities, birthday parties, graduation parties, or family gatherings. It offers a large array of activities including indoor soccer, ice skating and basketball; however, it is most widely known as home of the Huron All Stars Hockey Teams. During the winter season, hundreds of youth participate in the Huron Hockey Association hockey season. The facility also offers open skating as well as ice shows throughout the winter months. Kunhart Field Softball Complex

Back in the 30s and 40s, Jack Kunhart was the parks superintendent. Kunhart is the namesake of Kunhart Fields, the softball complex is located adjacent to the Buchanan K-1 Center at 1600 5th Street SW, Kunhart Field consists of a 12 acre, six diamond softball complex. The expansion of Kunhart Fields and the attachment to the Mountain Dew Fields that is adjacent allows the city to host the larger state softball tournaments.

Mt. Dew Softball Complex

Located at 1655 9th Street SW, Mt. Dew Softball Complex is connected to the Kunhart Complex by a trail. The newly constructed Mountain Dew Softball Complex adds four 300-foot softball fields that have expanded league play and allows us to host visitors at many tournaments. All diamonds have shade shelters. Bathroom and concession facilities are available.

Roger Kasa Baseball Complex

This complex is located at 555 15th Street SW and consists of six baseball diamonds of which are irrigated through Sertoma Club funds. Agrilime infields were installed and building improvements have been made. A trail runs through the complex.

Pepsi Soccer Fields

Pepsi Fields Soccer Complex is located at 1450 9th Street SW. A comfort station, playground equipment, storage, shade shelter, and concession area has been constructed and scoreboards installed. Six Olympic-size fields are complete and usable for all levels of soccer. Fields are used for youth tackle football programs. This area also hosts the youth football program.

Memorial Baseball Field

Located at 390 Jersey Ave NE, the Memorial Baseball Field is built in the side of a hill at Memorial Park. A large scoreboard was donated and also has a batting cage.

Klock Field

Klock Field is located at 360 Jersey Ave NE. There are restrooms and baseball diamonds at this location and is just south of the Memorial Baseball Fields.

Bowling

Bowling is offered at two locations in Huron. Riverview Lanes offers a variety of bowling leagues, along with a great place to grab a bite to eat or a cold beverage. You can also enjoy the bowling scene at Fair City Lanes where they offer competitive leagues as well, both youth and adult leagues are popular at this location. Open bowling is also available.
