Mark your calendars for the 2008 Tour de Kota coming to Huron June 11 for an overnight stay at the SD State Fairgrounds. Organizers of the event are arranging entertainment that the public is invited to attend! Entertainment will begin at approximately 5pm and will include a number of local entertainers. Cain Creek Band, James River Bluegrass and Blue City Mob are just a few among several groups that will perform on the Freedom Stage. There will be a beer garden and several local food vendors located near the Freedom Stage for all to enjoy. Local food vendors who have jumped on board thus far include The Elks Club will serve burgers, brats and pork loin. The Central Prairie Red Cross along with Java Hut will provide baked goods and coffee drinks. Leonard Doll will be preparing Teno’s Tacos and NARFE will provide fruit and trail mix if you’re just looking for a snack. Kiwanis will be serving a pancake breakfast for the riders on Thursday morning before they make their way to Brookings.
