Huron University Foundation
    The Huron University Foundation

The Huron University Foundation was organized and incorporated in 1982 exclusively as a non-profit educational and charitable corporation originally intended for the benefit and purposes of Huron College/University and the students.  Since 1987, the Foundation has been the guardian of the endowment fund of the college and responsible for awarding scholarships to deserving students.  With the closing of the school in 2005, the Attorney General of South Dakota has directed the purpose of the Huron University Foundation is to be for the “benefit of Huron area students attending accredited post-secondary educational institutions.”  The Huron University Foundation is directed by nine trustees who are respected civic leaders.  It is an independent foundation with money management by the South Dakota Community Foundation which guarantees the perpetuity of
annual awarding of scholarships by the Huron University Foundation.

To perpetuate the memory and history of Huron College/University, the Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce the following scholarships to be awarded to deserving Huron area students attending accredited post-secondary institutions.
These scholarships represent the Huron College Endowment Fund and additional gifts to the Huron University Foundation.
