Mission Statement

The Beadle County Humane Society was established to address the needs of animal welfare and promote responsible pet ownership.  Funding for the organization comes from impound and adoption fees, donations and the city and county both subsidize animal control services. The organization is governed by a volunteer board of directors.  Among the goals of the Humane Society is to educate people about responsible pet ownership.  Of primary concern is the importance of spaying and neutering your pets.  We encourage you to call the shelter with any questions concerning animals.  If we don’t know the answer we will do our best to find one I\or direct you to someone who will.
