Welcome to Huron, home of the SD State Fair, Dakota State Fair Speedway, magnificent Outdoor Murals, World’s Largest Pheasant, Huron Tigers, Huron All Stars and some of the best pheasant hunting in the Midwest!
With a population of approximately 12,000, we are widely known for our outstanding school system, state-of-the-art Medical Center, Nordby Center for Recreation, Huron Event Center and the Huron Arena. There are a variety of entertainment opportunities including three golf courses, many parks, walking trails, miniature golf, and lots of sports and recreational programs. Huron is also home to many annual events including the Huron Ringneck Festival, Antique Power Show, Wheel Jam, SD Outdoor Expo, Stock Car Racing, and the SD State Fair, just to name a few.
Huron offers a thriving economy, superb schools, traditional values, faith and fellowship, services, entertainment and truly is a great place to live. It is the ideal place for new ventures and new growth because every day is a brand new day.
