 Ride Huron

The Ride Huron program provides free courtesy bikes for loan to Huron visitors and residents as part of Huron's wellness initiative. The program was launched in 2011, and has over 50 bicycles available for loan without charge during the summer months at three locations in the community, including a limited number of tandem bikes (bicycles-built-for-two), and Balance Bikes.

Bike check-outs include free use of a helmet and bike lock. Check-out locations are:

  • Putters & Scoops, 800 Easy Street (At Ravine Lake Park)
  • Corner Pantry Convenience Store, 275 Lincoln Ave SW (Corner of 3rd St & Lincoln Ave S)

Riders need only sign a liability waiver and show a valid ID to check out a bike. Children under 18 must have their bike checked-out by a parent or guardian. Bikes must be returned to the location where they were checked-out when finished riding.
